I’m a researcher and writer, and I work on the long history of conspiracy theories. I’m a medievalist by training, and my academic work focuses at the intersection of law, literature, and history. I’m an assistant professor at Cal State Fullerton, and I did my graduate work at Princeton and Oxford, where I was a Rhodes Scholar.

My first book, Felony’s Dark Imagining is forthcoming from Oxford University Press, and I’m working on a second about the structure of conspiracy theories.

My first love is teaching. Students past and present can find resources and ways to connect with me at the Students tab.
